Laura White was elected president of the Perkiomen Valley School District Board of School Directors at the board’s annual reorganization meeting on Dec. 1. The board selected Laura White by unanimous voice vote to serve a one‑year term. Mister McKinney was then elected vice president for the coming year.
The meeting opened with roll call and the required pledge of allegiance. Board members first elected Mister Sailor to serve as temporary president of the reorganization meeting; he then opened nominations for president and nominated Laura White, who was confirmed by an aye vote. After the president’s election, White nominated Mister McKinney for vice president; that motion also carried by voice vote.
The reorganizational votes were procedural and unanimous, recorded on the public meeting record. After the reorganization items, the board recessed briefly for photos and then began its regular monthly meeting.
