City honors five students with Everett 75 scholarships

The Everett City Council recognized recipients of the inaugural Everett 75 Scholarship Fund. Paulo Lambreza, representing the scholarship committee, announced five winners and invited two students present in chambers to receive their awards and a photo with the council.
Lambreza said each recipient will receive $600. Named awardees announced by the committee included Mackenzie Powers (University of New Hampshire), Chloe Salvi (Endicott College), Michelle Germaine (Boston College), Nisha Denning (Massachusetts College of Art and Design) and Adani Santos (Franklin Pierce University). "On behalf of the committee, I would like to extend our congratulations and best wishes for your future endeavors," Lambreza said.
Council members congratulated the students and posed for photographs. The awards were presented as a ceremonial item early in the agenda.
