Committee approves amended repurposing of school capital funds for Everett High HVAC controls

"We've been able to manage it with our current cash flow... so we've been holding off as long as we could," Demas said, describing why unused authorizations are available for repurposing.
Rob Moreshi, director of facilities, described the scope: "This is a complete replacement of every single HVAC temperature control in the Everett High School... every thermostat was replaced along with wiring it back to the boiler and chillers," and said the vendor E and E will automate controls to reduce energy costs. When asked about potential overages, Moreshi said the project team is "good." The committee approved the amendment and referred the item favorably to the full Council.
