Committee forwards city assessor's reappointment after hearing on valuations and recertification

"I oversee the valuation of all the property in the city," he said.
He said the city is conducting a full recertification this fiscal year (FY25) as part of the Department of Revenue process, submitting values for review. Devereaux described regular outreach steps including sending forms to businesses and periodically pulling building permits to update property records; the public-facing Patriot Properties site is updated annually while the internal database is updated daily.
The committee treated the item as a referral and recorded favorable action to forward the appointment for further consideration.
