Trustees asked for timelines for completing staff training and how substitute teachers, volunteers and visitors will receive on-campus instructions. Parents and trustees also pressed staff to clarify how smaller, nonemergency incidents (e.g., interpersonal incidents or bloodborne exposure) are communicated to families and whether those procedures are included in site plans. Burns said such communication protocols are part of the plan and that parents may request site plans by appointment for safety reasons.
