Carpinteria High School FFA and Rotary Club highlighted at board meeting; district accepts $9,510 in music donations

Separately, the board accepted donations from the Rotary Club of Carpinteria to support district music programs: various musical instruments valued at $8,750 and instructional publications valued at $760, including drums, recorders, nylon-string guitars and accessories intended to support CMS exploratory music and the marching band. Public commenters and trustees thanked the Rotary Club for the gift and noted the donation helps rebuild music programming.
The board approved acceptance of the gifts and expressed appreciation for community support for arts education.
