The chair explained preexisting professional commitments were interfering with the ability to serve as chair and asked the commission to appoint Vice Chair Jasmine Allen to the chair position and make the incumbent chair the vice chair. A motion to swap the positions and to make the exchange effective at the next meeting was moved, seconded and carried on a roll‑call vote; each recorded voting member voted "Aye."
The chair congratulated Commissioner Allen and the commission moved to the next agenda item.
