Later the commission heard from Lisa Sannegate, who described seven years of fibromyalgia and recent falls and asked for a curb space closer to her home. Sannegate suggested combining her request with the library's handicap‑spot reconfiguration so the spaces would sit adjacent to an existing ramp. Staff said enforcement will tow vehicles parked without valid placards and issue tickets; Sannegate was advised to call dispatch when a vehicle without a placard occupies a handicap spot.
Commissioners voted to add a temporary handicap space on Marlborough Street (just past the hydrant) for one month; staff will revisit the item at the next Traffic and Parking Commission meeting so the commission can consider making the change permanent or combining it with library spot adjustments.
