Board approves 2025–26, 2026–27 attendance calendars and accepts developer fee report for 2023–24

The Los Gatos Union School District Board of Trustees approved the proposed attendance calendars for the 2025'26 and 2026'27 school years, favoring a traditional calendar with earlier fall conference weeks and two weeks for winter break. Assistant Superintendent Sarah Telles said the change moves conferences earlier so teachers can use more current assessment data for goal-setting discussions.
Trustees noted Fisher School will retain some "weird minimum days" and staff said those minimum days will be added to the calendar as required. The board approved both years' calendars.
In a separate routine action, Chief Business Official Teresa Fiscus presented the district's annual and five-year developer fee report for fiscal year 2023'24. Fiscus reported a beginning balance of $0 for the developer fee fund, total revenues of $251,265 (including $192,992 from developer fees), $472,706 in expenditures (mostly land improvements for campus landscaping and playfield work at Daves, Van Meter and Blossom Hill), and an ending fund balance of $14,722. Fiscus said developer fees must be spent on growth-related projects and that, because the district generally receives modest developer fees, staff often identifies eligible projects after fees arrive.
The board approved the developer fee report.
