BCCMC discusses vacant seats and schedules next meeting; board members urged to recruit replacements

Mister Foreman said the agenda item was a reminder that the board "can't do anything like that" when members are overburdened and asked members to recommend people who might serve in different capacities. "If you identify somebody who has maybe a different type or area of expertise, but has an interest in helping out ... would you please consider appointing ..." he said, urging members to forward names to the chair for consideration.
Members then discussed scheduling. The board considered October dates but noted uncertainty while awaiting results of negotiations with the marshals/federal partners; a late-November date was proposed so the board might have additional information. Members agreed to be flexible and to call a meeting if urgent items emerge.
Board members also took a moment to commend Crystal for identifying duplicate asset reporting and for staying on top of financial details.
