Staff said the rezone would make the lot conforming and allow the owners to build a single‑family home. Ford noted the parcel was cut from a larger tract and warned that any further division would trigger subdivision requirements.
Commissioners asked about notification to the parent parcel owner and Ford said staff had discussed subdivision rules with the property owners prior to the application. One commissioner requested that staff send certified notice to the original parent tract owner and place that correspondence in the file to avoid future disputes; staff agreed. The ordinance was read by title and adopted on second reading by voice vote.
