Baker County value board reports two minor Walmart adjustments; no petitions pending

The Baker County Value Adjustment Board met in a brief session and confirmed there were no pending petitions, staff said.
Tim, the county property appraiser, told the board that 10 petitions had been filed this review period and that all were resolved or withdrawn, including two that were filed the previous afternoon. "We had 10 petitions. One of them was a residential. The remaining — we had two that were apartment complexes, low income. All of those were resolved," Tim said. He added that two cases produced only minimal adjustments, affecting the Walmart distribution center and the Walmart Supercenter.
A board member summarizing office records said the filed petitions had been closed out and that the primary administrative duty for the meeting was to confirm there were no outstanding petitions. The presiding officer invited public comment but reported that no members of the public were present.
The clerk thanked attendees for coming despite bad weather and said staff will need to coordinate new dates between the property appraiser and another county contact. The presiding officer then moved to adjourn. A board member responded "so moved" and then "second," and the presiding officer declared the motion carried unanimously.
The meeting ended with the board noting that the petitions filed in this cycle had been addressed and that no further action was required at this session.
