She asked the board for a variance or permission to place a sign to warn approaching drivers and reduce dangerous left turns. Commissioners who had visited the site described difficulty locating the entrance and asked staff to follow up and bring recommendations to the appropriate body (county or city) for any sign or safety changes.
Separately, the board confirmed a subcommittee recommendation that the county clerk will handle MTPO finances during the transition — a move board members said improves accountability and places MTPO accounting within the county’s audit scope.
