House roundup: several bills circled, Rules Committee report assigned bills to committees, transit-day announcements and adjournment

Committee chair Jordan Tusher presented the report and Representative Tusher moved its adoption; the House approved the report by voice vote and the speaker assigned bills as listed in the report to committees including Business, Labor and Commerce; Education; Government Operations; Judiciary; Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice; Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Environment; Political Subdivisions; Public Utilities, Energy and Technology; Revenue and Taxation; and Transportation.
Representative Hawkins called attention to transit-day events, sponsors of the morning break and lunch, and an evening gathering at Thanksgiving Point. At the end of the morning floor session Representative Jefferson Moss moved to adjourn; the motion passed and the House stood adjourned until Monday, Jan. 27 at 11 a.m.
The House’s procedural actions moved a range of bills into committee consideration and paused several others for additional work.
