St. Joseph County appoints three to Community Corrections Advisory Board

The board moved to take the tabled nominations back up and then approved the first appointment: "Make a motion to appoint Craig Redmond to the Community Corrections Advisory Board," a motion the board carried with yes votes from Commissioners Dieter, Hazen and Baxmayer. Later in the minutes, the transcript records a naming variation for this appointee; the nomination was introduced and recorded earlier as Craig Redmond.
The board next appointed Dave Troyer. A motion to appoint Troyer passed with unanimous 'Aye' votes. The final nomination, Andy Huxhold, was also moved, seconded and approved.
The appointments were taken as routine business and each vote was recorded as unanimous among the three commissioners present. No public comment was recorded on these nominations.
The board did not attach additional conditions to the appointments during the Nov. 6 meeting. The appointments take effect according to the advisory board’s existing appointment procedures and any administrative onboarding the county conducts.
