Board tables April minutes and staff announces regional housing study survey
Summary
The board tabled April 10, 2024 minutes to the November meeting to allow corrections and approved findings of fact for Sept. 11. A staff member announced a regional housing study and a public survey covering St. Joseph, Elkhart and Marshall counties and asked members to share the link.
During its Oct. 9 meeting the Area Board of Zoning Appeals approved findings of fact for the Sept. 11, 2024 meeting and voted to table the April 10, 2024 minutes until the November meeting to allow necessary corrections to be made to item 10 on page 16.
Lance Rausch moved to approve the findings of fact for Sept. 11; the motion passed. Later, Rausch moved to table the April 10 minutes and Sid Schaefer seconded; the motion to table carried.
At other business, an unnamed staff speaker said the region is "doing a regional housing study" and announced a forthcoming public survey covering St. Joseph, Elkhart and Marshall counties. The speaker urged board members to share the survey link and said the dashboard and survey are posted on the Maycog webpage; the staff identified Zach Dripps as the contact who will distribute the link.
The board then moved to adjourn.
