County to host two employee flu clinics in September

The St. Joseph County Health Department requested and received board approval to host two mobile immunization unit clinics for city and county employees in the county building lobby.
Jody Parrottz, director of nursing, said clinics are scheduled Sept. 17 and Sept. 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Staff will offer preregistration to manage throughput; Parrottz said they aim to accommodate as many employees as possible during the two‑hour windows and will add more clinics if demand warrants. Parrottz also said COVID vaccines will be offered if available and if FDA approvals allow.
The board moved, seconded and approved use of the lobby for the clinics.
