Commissioners approve vending contract amendment and bond counsel for highway garage project

Bre Roberts, director of procurement, told commissioners the FSSA professional services contract for vending had been previously approved on July 9 but was partially reverted to original language after review by the attorney general; county legal counsel re-reviewed the document and recommended it proceed as amended. The board moved and approved the amended contract.
The board also approved retaining Catherine Fanello of Klein, Alvarado & Veil to provide bond counsel services for the highway garage project, which the presenters said is in a next phase after land acquisition and initial site improvements (roads, salt barn, fuel pumps).
Both items were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
