St. Joseph County names Julie Lawson permanent director of Community Corrections

Commissioner remarks also noted staff contributions, including Ray Owens, during recent cleanup efforts involving program participants.
The nomination was moved and seconded on the floor and the motion carried.
Lawson’s appointment follows a period of interim leadership and ongoing internal review of program operations. Commissioners described the appointment as a step toward stabilizing services and continuing existing collaborations with community partners.
