DNRC invites legislature to hangar tour and short helicopter flights this Friday

"We will pick you up here at the capital in the horseshoe" and it is "only about a 10 minute drive," Weiss Gerber said, and she emphasized a timely return: DNRC plans to depart the hangar by 11:30 a.m. and return to the Capitol by noon so legislators can return to floor business. She also advised members to dress in layers and wear boots because helicopter cabins are not climate controlled in winter months.
Representative Powers confirmed the noon return time because of floor obligations; Weiss Gerber said the plan is to return no later than noon and that organizers will provide sack lunches so members do not need to rush back.
The announcement included a staff sign-up, a handout menu and logistical notes about headsets for in-flight commentary. No formal committee action or vote was taken; this was an informational logistics announcement ahead of the scheduled Friday visit.
