The request came from Chris, director of Solid Waste, who told the board that Rocky Mountain Construction was the only responsible bidder and that the quoted cost for crushing was $28,900. "We're requesting approval to accept a quote from Rocky Mountain Construction for crushing the concrete at the landfill," Chris said in presenting the item.
Commissioner Minty moved to accept the quote and later moved the contract approval; a second was offered and the board approved both motions by voice vote. The contract authorizes the solid waste manager to sign and directs payment from the solid waste operating budget.
The board recorded no additional fiscal impact beyond the $28,900 identified in the agenda. Staff indicated the vendor will perform crushing services at the landfill site; the contract covers work through April 15, 2025. The chair called the question and the board voted in favor.
The county did not provide a recorded roll‑call tally in the minutes; approval was recorded by voice vote and the chair indicated the motion passed. No protests or public comments were recorded during the item.
