The Lehi City Planning Commission on Dec. 12 approved two staff-recommended land-use items: a conditional use allowing Boulder Landscaping to use a designated vehicle and equipment storage area at 4651 North Digital Drive, and a 2.82-acre plat amendment for the Hardman Crossing commercial subdivision.
Staff planner Katie told commissioners the Boulder Landscaping site is in a light-industrial zone and will be used overnight to store company trucks and equipment; employees would park personal vehicles in designated stalls. Katie asked commissioners to “please consider all DRC comments in your motion,” noting three DRC comments requiring bollards, identification of an existing masonry fence on plans, and verification that vehicles will not park within 20 feet of the property line.
Commissioners moved, seconded and voted to approve the conditional use with the DRC requirements included as conditions. No public comment was received.
On the Hardman Crossing plat amendment, staff explained the proposal splits Lot 2 near Redwood Road and Hardman Way to create parcels meeting the commercial-zone minimums and accommodate a proposed veterinary clinic and other commercial buildings. Staff said the property lies within the Gardner Plum Development Agreement but that the agreement allows subdivision amendments. The DRC provided eight comments, mostly informational; staff asked that all be incorporated into the approval.
The commission voted to approve the plat amendment with the DRC comments included. No members of the public spoke and no online comments were filed for either item.
Both approvals will be documented in the meeting minutes and related permitting and site-plan reviews will proceed with the indicated DRC requirements incorporated.
