The Pottsgrove School District board approved a slate of routine business items during its December meeting, including the November 12, 2024 minutes, personnel actions, payment of bills and several program and equipment purchases.

The board approved 9.3, the YWCA Club Connect after-school program at Lower Elementary. Superintendent Dr. Finnerty described the offering: "This is a free after school program called Club Connect for 3rd 4th graders at Lower Elementary. This program will run on 6 dates through January [and] February and will be offered to the first 15 students who register," and said the program will provide a safe space, age-appropriate drug- and alcohol-education, social-skills practice and healthy-relationship learning.
Operational purchases approved included a 45-degree leg press for the high school fitness center (9.4), funded from Market Street funds, and a Toro mower with accessories (9.5). In finance-committee discussion, members also described approved vehicle- and equipment-related purchases: a removable BOSS snowplow and a BOSS tailgate salt spreader for a district pickup truck, with the plow/installation listed in committee notes at $6,665.81 and the tailgate salt spreader at $2,828.27.
A finance-committee item recommended moving forward with an engineering and design proposal from LEI Associates for tennis-court replacement; the proposal in the committee report was listed at $55,224.60 to complete designs and bid specifications. Board members stressed that the tennis-court engineering study was an initial step and that any further construction or stadium renovations would be presented to the board in subsequent actions.
