York County commissioners approve minutes, adopt agenda and move into executive session on general-assistance case

Later in the morning the board moved to enter an executive session at 8:49 a.m. to "prevent needless harm to an individual" in a general-assistance matter. A commissioner moved for the executive session; a roll-call vote was taken and the motion passed. The board asked the county attorney and General Assistance Administrator Chandra Nuss to remain for the closed session.
The board did not state details of the case on the public record when it announced the executive session. Under Nebraska law, boards may meet in executive session for certain personnel or assistance matters to protect privacy; the minutes show the board's stated reason was to prevent needless harm to an individual. The board signaled it would break for board equalization and return to other agenda items after the closed session.
Before the closed session the board also clarified that an agenda line labeled "Planet Technologies" is a bill to be handled in claims/officials forum rather than a standalone presentation.
The meeting then recessed into executive session as recorded in the public minutes.
