The Franklin City Planning Commission conducted its annual reorganization and several appointments at the Jan. 21 meeting.
Commissioners nominated and approved Norm Gapehart as president, Georgiana as vice president and Jim Martin as secretary. Each nomination was closed and carried by voice vote.
The commission appointed Glenn Gray as legal counsel following a motion and second, and approved the minutes of the Dec. 17, 2024 meeting as submitted. Later in the meeting, staff noted the Planning Commission representative to the Board of Zoning Appeals needed formal appointment; Bill Carson agreed to continue in that role and was reappointed by unanimous voice vote.
Staff also announced that the city's building official position has been filled by Clay Fulkerson and circulated membership contact lists for commissioners to verify.
The meeting closed after routine business and a motion to adjourn.
