Council expressed resident concerns about neighborhood impacts (spillage and odors) and requested reassurances about routing and operations. Staff and the contractor said hauls will use appropriate staging areas and that the contractor offered a yard mule and a small trailer to remain on-site for city use. Council modified the contract term to two years with three one‑year renewals (effectively a five‑year maximum) and a six‑month evaluation clause, then voted to approve the contract with those amendments.
