Montgomery County commissioners back Coffeyville grant support, renew local license and coordinate cemetery work

On the Coffeyville request, a commissioner moved that the county sign a letter expressing support for the city's discretionary grant application, citing the importance of truck routes and the regional economy. The motion was seconded and recorded as passed by the commissioners present. Commissioners asked for three signed copies of the support letter to be provided to Coffeyville.
The board approved a township's cereal-malt-beverage renewal for carryout sales after the township trustee signed off and commissioners recorded the motion and vote in favor.
Commissioners went into executive session twice under the code referenced in the meeting as "754319b1" (the board reported each return from executive session with "no action taken").
On Potter Cemetery, staff and commissioners confirmed county public works would dig graves for a body awaiting interment, that plots already sold would be honored, and that the clerk's office will keep and update burial records and locate maps before future burials.
