York County approves multiple hires, transfers and a sheriff promotion
Summary

At the Jan. 15 meeting, Director Leonard Corliss presented five personnel actions that the commissioners approved unanimously.
The board approved three full‑time hires for the York County Sheriff's Office and facilities department: Justin Hansen (corrections officer, date of hire Feb. 3, 2025), Bridal Roberts (corrections officer, Feb. 3, 2025) and Catherine Wood (maintenance technician, Jan. 21, 2025). Corliss outlined each candidate's background during the presentation.
The commission also approved two internal transfers within the district attorney's office: Chris Quisley to grand jury appeals manager (effective Jan. 27, 2025) and Kendra Smith to trial manager (effective Jan. 21, 2025). No changes in pay grade were reported for the transfers as presented.
Separately, the sheriff recommended promoting Corrections Officer Ken Hamilton to corporal; the promotion was approved, effective Jan. 20, 2025. Commissioners moved and seconded each personnel action and recorded unanimous votes.
