Caldwell County Commissioners on Aug. 27 considered several land-development items. County staff and applicants reported that required corrections and fees had been completed for Longhorn Lake Ranch; the court approved the final plat for 165 lots on roughly 340 acres. The court tabled approval of Heartland Ranch Subdivision Phase 3 (5 lots on ~33.768 acres) at the applicant’s request to make needed adjustments.
The court approved a replat of County Line Ranchettes (lots 1 and 2) totaling approximately 5.244 acres and accepted the final surety/cash-security agreement for Bollinger Phase 1, which allows the county to draw on escrowed developer funds to complete public improvements if necessary. Scott Miller of Rancho Development said the surety mirrors prior arrangements used for Heartland Ranch. The court also approved a short-form plat for Haggy Creek Estates (4 lots on about 6.934 acres at 111 Chamberlain Road).
All the recorded plat approvals and the surety motion were passed by voice vote. The Heartland Phase 3 item was explicitly tabled until corrections are made and will return to a future agenda.
