During routine business the Greenfield‑Central Com Schools board approved a series of standard items, accepted foundation donations and approved personnel recommendations.
Finance staff (Speaker 8) presented the claims docket — regular accounts payable, payroll claims and a nearly final construction claim — and asked the board to approve them "as presented." A motion to approve the claims docket was made, seconded and carried by voice vote.
The board also reviewed grant and donation activity that staff said totaled $159,548.75 to the corporation this year through grants, donations and in‑kind gifts. Staff asked the board to accept donations from the school foundation totaling $100,000; a motion to accept the grants and donations as presented was moved and approved by the board.
On personnel, staff presented leaves of absence and retirements. The board acknowledged Jim Beaver’s 40 years of service in multiple roles — science teacher, athletic trainer, assistant principal, principal and director of student services — and wished him well in retirement. The personnel report, which included permission to hire as needed for the remainder of the school year, was moved, seconded and approved.
The board also approved proposed 2025 classified salary adjustments and maintained the classified handbook as presented, and it approved out‑of‑unit coaching recommendations for 2025 (motions carried by voice vote).
