Apogee was introduced in committee as a communications platform that would replace the district’s website and existing notification system, offering a multilingual, two-way messaging app for teachers, parents and students and features intended to centralize website, social media and alert functions. Committee discussion emphasized multilingual translation, teacher messaging and emergency-notification capabilities as district benefits.
Following committee votes, the board approved consent motions covering finance items and committee motions (items 1–10 and 12, and later education and personnel motions) by roll call; the agenda amendment was included in those approvals where applicable.
