The Barnegat Township School District Board of Education approved a series of committee motions and two HIB‑related actions during its Dec. 17 meeting.
In a series of roll‑call votes the board approved Finance Committee motions 1–9, Athletics Committee motions 1–8, Education Committee motions 1–9, the Governance Committee motion on first reading of Policy 7450 (property inventory), and Personnel Committee motions 1–17. Each set of motions was moved, seconded and carried by roll call.
After returning from an executive session to discuss personnel and HIB matters, the board approved the HIB incident report presented in closed session and later voted to uphold the board’s HIB finding in case number 272‑510. The board’s roll calls for those two motions were recorded as carried.
Board members used the meeting to also approve the meeting agenda and two sets of minutes earlier in the session.
What happens next: These approvals authorize listed hires, program motions and policy first reading as noted in the agenda; the record shows motions were approved by roll call but individual motion details are contained in the board agenda and the formal minutes.
