Selectmen voted Sept. 9 to approve the consent agenda, which included accounts payable manifests, draft minutes and the appointment of Scott Vizzina as deputy health officer.
Mister Colby explained the MS-1 summary inventory and evaluation form used by assessors to set the tax rate, noting it reflects building permits, utility values and other assessment inputs. After a motion and second, the board approved the consent agenda; the clerk recorded 'Aye' and the meeting record shows the motion carried 5–0.
Later in the meeting the board moved under '91 a 32 a' to go into nonpublic session on a public-employee matter. The motion was moved and seconded, Kathy conducted a roll-call and each member voted 'Yes.' The chair stated the board would not return to public session that night.
