During public comment at the Jan. 16 Livingston County Board meeting, two residents urged the board to consider local opposition to the Panther Grove Wind Project.
Logan Bremel, of Brooks Creek Township, said as a 20-year-old agronomy and agricultural-business student he opposes the project and asked the board to consider long-term agricultural impacts: "It's my generation and the generations that follow me that will be left to deal with the lifespan of this project," Bremel said.
Julie Russo told the board many constituents oppose the project and thanked board members who attended a recent Zoning Board of Appeals hearing. She urged board members to attend upcoming hearings and encouraged residents to show up; she noted the next hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 21.
No formal action on the wind project occurred at the board meeting; comments were recorded during the public-comment period.
