Council approves $92,627.97 payment to American Ramp Company for skate park phase 1

The Pryor Creek City Council on a special call approved a $92,627.97 payment to American Ramp Company to complete phase 1 of the city’s skate park project. The single-item meeting established that the cost will be paid from Parks Capital account 44-445-5415 and that the purchase will be processed with approval at the July 2 council meeting.
Presiding official introduced the item and said the phase 1 project was previously encumbered by a purchase order dated Nov. 21, 2023, and that the meeting materials include the original minutes and the price for phase 1. "This expenditure will be processed with purchase approved at the July 2nd council meeting," the presiding official said.
A staff member confirmed funding was available and summarized account activity: "Yeah. There's more than enough. We've encumbered the entire, balance of that purchase order. So we've actually only spent $3,000 out of that account, and we budgeted a 119,000. Our total balance that we've spent is 97,656, which is because we've encumbered this $92,000 purchase order. It's encumbered, and there's still $21,000 remaining in it after this purchase order has been paid." The council did not ask for additional analysis and moved to a vote.
Councilman Gauthier made the motion to approve item number 2, and Councilman Brown seconded. The clerk called the roll and members answered in the affirmative; the presiding official announced, "Motion passes." The meeting record shows yes votes for Shropshire, Bradshaw, Brashears, Brown, Trammell, Conteil and Smith.
Members were also pointed to the packet’s final page, which lists a phase 2 price of $49,385.53 for the remainder of the skate park. The presiding official said that figure "probably or possibly could be in the new budget for next year too" and asked members to keep it in mind.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that carried on a roll call vote. The council adjourned after completing the fiscal-year closing action for this item.
