Morristown council adopts series of resolutions, including one reiterating support for Ukraine

The Morristown Town Council adopted several resolutions on Aug. 6 by roll call and separately approved Resolution R-136-2024, which reiterates the town’s support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian community throughout Morris County.
Council members approved a set of resolutions (R-131–R-135 and R-137) after one member asked to pull R-136 for separate consideration. When presenting R-136, a council member described personal and neighborhood conversations that prompted the measure and noted his own Ukrainian family history; Romana Hadzevich had urged the council earlier in the meeting to support the community and invited the public to the 15th Annual Ukrainian Festival on Sept. 28.
Council voted to adopt R-136-2024 by roll call. The resolution record in the meeting packet and the roll call constitute the public record of adoption.
