The Morristown Town Council on June 25 adopted a series of resolutions covering budget items, grant applications and appointments.
Among the items the council adopted were a consolidated set of resolutions (numbers recorded in the minutes) and specific grant-authorizing resolutions: R-112-2024 authorizes application for fiscal-year NJDOT municipal aid funds for the Franklin Street resurfacing project, and R-113-2024 authorizes submission for the FY25 Safe Streets/Transit sidewalk safety improvements. Town staff told council engineering maintains an internal list of capital projects and that these grant applications align with that planning list.
The council also adopted Resolution R-116-2024 appointing Mary Ann O'Donnell McCoy as municipal court judge. One councilmember disclosed a relationship and recorded an abstention; the motion carried.
A series of other resolutions listed on the agenda were moved and adopted by roll call. The meeting minutes record that councilmembers discussed project coordination and funding complements from developer contributions and other grants while approving the submissions.
Votes were recorded in the public minutes; the clerk entered the adopted resolutions into the record and staff will proceed with grant application execution where authorized.
