Council approves fuel bids and $59,592 payment for water system work

The Perry City Council approved several routine procurement and payment items on Sept. 16.
Item 11: Tax-exempt fuel bids — staff recommended, and council approved, annual tax-exempt fuel awards, naming Chemnets as the low bidder for diesel and On Q as the low bidder for unleaded fuel.
Item 12: Payment No. 3 for water-system improvement — council approved an application for payment in the amount of $59,592.38 to Lone Hickory Cattle LLC for work on the DWSRF water system improvement (project no. 940-102-1206-02). Staff informed the council that the work had been certified as performed in accordance with plans and specifications; accepting the payment also triggers the two-year maintenance bond period for the project.
Both items were moved, seconded and approved by roll call without recorded dissent.
