Council members asked about maximum occupancy, parking and accessibility and heard the applicant commit to bringing the facility into full compliance during the permit process.
On a motion and second, the council approved the special‑use permit as presented. Council members congratulated the applicants and asked staff to continue permitting oversight to ensure required code upgrades are completed before the facility opens to the public.
