The Chickasha City Council approved an ordinance to allow off-premise alcohol sales in a tenant space at 234 East Grand Avenue.
City planner Rachel explained the applicant (same owner as an existing liquor business, Bronco Corner) is opening an additional location in a previously unoccupied space near Jimmy’s Egg. Under city code, a special use is required for bottle sales even when the zoning is appropriate, so the use-on-review application was required. The planning commission recommended approval and staff reported no phone calls or emails in opposition.
Council moved and seconded the ordinance and passed it by roll call.
