James Gonzo, who compiled the draft CIO annual report, told the committee the document is intended as a look back at 2024 and will be aligned with the strategic report. "It's a draft ... that we are trying this year to update both the look and the content to be more aligned with the strategic report," Gonzo said.
Members urged stronger performance framing in the report. "I'd like to see reports where it says here's our goal, here's our percentage of accomplishment, and what needs to be done next," said Eugene Chang, who said narrative lists of accomplishments should be paired with percent‑complete metrics and variance explanations to inform future budgeting and corrective action.
ETS acknowledged the feedback and said the draft will be revised to include more action‑oriented, measurable content that helps the committee and budget reviewers evaluate progress.
