The Denham Springs City Council handled several procedural items Dec. 23 before addressing larger agenda matters.

The council approved the minutes of its Dec. 10, 2024 meeting by roll-call vote. Later, members approved the 2025 council meeting calendar after confirming there were no scheduling conflicts.

Council also discussed and acted on a resolution to surplus certain police equipment and sell it to Practical Tactical after a previous buyer issue was reported; the council recorded a motion (by Gilbert) and votes near the close of the transcript.

Those items were recorded as formal motions and passed by recorded vote; the meeting then proceeded to other agenda items.
