Staff said the work covers rehabilitation between Southeast Rose Street and Southeast Main Street, including up to 625 yards of road-base repair and replacement of up to 6.88 ramps. The project was bid in three schedules to match a $250,000 transportation budget; staff recommended using available ADA ramp/light-and-sidewalk funds to cover the difference and recommended award to Guido Construction. The commission asked whether AC reinstatement was included in the bid; staff confirmed that type of work is included in the bid package.
If City Council accepts the recommendation, staff said notice to proceed would be issued in early August and the contractor has 60 days to complete the work.
