Roy Griggs, capital campaign chair, said the fundraising drive totals $10,000,000 and that the campaign had raised $8,700,000 so far. Griggs highlighted a $600,000 matching grant that will match dollar‑for‑dollar donations through the end of the year. He also stressed that campaign funds are held locally in 13 area financial institutions and that "every penny we raise stays local."
Council members and residents thanked the presenters; several audience members urged that Bossier City be included among donors and memorialized on the facility donor wall. Campaign leaders said the house will serve families across the region, including patients at the area's major hospitals and families from within a 200‑mile radius who depend on the facility when a child is hospitalized.
No council action was required; the briefing served to inform the council and encourage local engagement with the campaign.
