City manager outlines cybersecurity contract for water plant and plans for electronic timekeeping and rail planning

Frazier also said department heads participated in a demonstration of an electronic time and attendance system; if the commission approves the change, the expected rollout timeline is about 10 months and the system would link to payroll and financial software to reduce errors.
On regional transportation, Frazier reported participation in a KDOT passenger-rail development update and said the state is targeting 2029 for potential service, subject to state funding and legislation. He closed with operational notes on holiday hours, the 2025 budget book distribution and an HR award nomination for HR Director Marla McFarland.
No formal contract award or purchase authorization was recorded in the meeting; staff indicated follow-up as part of budget and procurement processes.
