Commission declines to accept current Washington School bids; preschool opening delayed

After debate, a motion to approve the staff recommendation failed, and staff said the decision will delay the preschool opening and delay access for families.
Staff confirmed they had discussed CDBG requirements with the Department of Commerce and that the team plans to reopen bidding for outstanding items. The commission did not accept the partial bid approvals at this meeting.
