Counsel indicated that, depending on the inspector’s report and access status, the city might need to file a continuance for the scheduled hearing; council directed staff to proceed with available options, including moving forward with condemnation if standards were not met.
A motion to extend the inspection timeline to allow completion and reporting by Dec. 4 was moved, seconded and approved. Council also asked that the inspector, if he observes additional work completed after the inspection, provide immediate updates by phone.
