The Andover City Council unanimously adopted an amendment to the city’s 2024 budget after holding a public hearing with no members of the public speaking. Finance Director Matt King presented the amendment and noted that a detailed memo was in the meeting packet. "Should the budget amendment be approved this evening, I would just like to ask that everyone remember to stay and sign the certificate page," he said.
Tim Berry moved to approve the amended budget; the motion was seconded and carried on a 6-0 vote. No substantive discussion was recorded during the public hearing portion; staff indicated that the council had reviewed the details at previous meetings. The council did not request additional public input during the hearing and closed the hearing before voting.
Councilors were asked to sign the budget certificate before leaving the meeting, a procedural step required to finalize the amendment.
