After questions about the timeline and staffing, a motion to approve the event request was moved and approved by voice vote.
Cruze thanked volunteer organizers and named several local volunteers and coordinators involved in the effort. The council welcomed the programming and encouraged outreach to draw families downtown during the holiday season.
Organizers and staff will coordinate details with Parks and Public Works to finalize staging locations, vendor responsibilities and safety plans.
