City staff reports winning bid on tax-foreclosed parcel; no action sought

Staff said the city is working to obtain sheriff's title and noted that title insurance generally cannot be issued until a year after the tax-foreclosure transaction. Staff said they will return to the commission to discuss long-term plans for the parcel and to consider a policy for future foreclosure properties (whether to allow the market to address them or to actively acquire and manage properties in a land bank). No action was required at the meeting.
